Tablets [such as iPad] can be WiFi paired with the GTX345 (Garmin Pilot/Skydemon Apps).
The GTX345 is displayed and managed remotely on the No1 GNS650NXI.
A tablet [such as an iPad] functions by pairing it via Bluetooth to the GTX345 via the GNS650NXI (Access to the function settings of the GTX345 is through the GNS650NXI.)
The owner says he can send SMS text messages via his iPad.
The owner also says Garmin Pilot has very good back up instrument panel, on an iPad.
The owner mounts his iPad on the P2 panel using a suction mount - Interior & EntertainmentTan leather seats in Club configuration.

Three owners from new; the first was in the USA; the last owner was in Germany, where the formal Customs Import procedures were carried out.
The aircraft was later sold to the current owner in England pre-Brexit so came with a copy of the former Import papers; thus, Import VAT in the UK is satisfied.
The current owner paid for the aircraft on 25/March/2020 after which it was changed from the German to UK Register whilst still in Germany, receiving its UK Registration on 14th May 2020 and its UK CofA on 20th May 2020; then, after a Covid-flight-restriction delay, it was flown from Germany to its new home in England on 5th June 2020.
