Hawker 800XP Jets for Sale

The Hawker 800XP was one of several upgrades to the successful Hawker 800 Mid-Size Jet, and remains in-demand on the pre-owned business jet market today.

The 'XP' in the Hawker 800XP name represents the Extra Performance offered over the mid-size Hawker 800A/B model. Improved engines for the 800XP jet result in better climb and cruise performance, along with an increased 2,620nm-range.

FAQs: Hawker 800XP Jets for Sale

Here are the most Frequently Asked Questions for Hawker 800XP Jets for sale
  • How much does a Hawker 800XP cost?

A 1995 model Hawker 800XP costs $2.10m, while a 2004 model Hawker 800XP/i costs $2.85m, according to Aircraft Bluebook’s Spring 2022 data. The price data provided by Aircraft Bluebook represents average values for aircraft by model year. Individual aircraft values may be higher or lower than the average, depending on several different factors. Among the key price drivers is a jet’s maintenance condition, the completeness of its logbooks, whether it is enrolled on an engine maintenance program, and the number of hours on its airframe and engines before the next major inspection or overhaul is due.

  • What competes with the Hawker 800XP?

There are various aircraft vying for the same Mid-Size Jet market as the Hawker 800XP. Among them is the Gulfstream G150 Mid-Size Jet, which has a similar range, at 2,691nm, and is typically configured to carry seven to nine passengers in the cabin.

  • What makes the Hawker 800XP stand out?

The Hawker 800XP was designed to offer ‘extra performance’ over the original Hawker 800A/B models. This was mainly down to the Hawker 800XP utilizing improved Honeywell engines. Building on a successful platform, the manufacturer subsequently offered upgraded versions of the aircraft known as the Hawker 800XPR, which brought upgraded TFE731-50R engines and also introduced new winglets that further improved the aircraft’s aerodynamics. Eventually, the Hawker 800XP model was replaced on the production line with the Hawker 850XP.

  • What is the difference between a Hawker 800XP and a Hawker 850XP?

The Hawker 850XP was certified in 2006. While it holds many similarities to the Hawker 800XP, it brought a slightly longer range, due to the addition of winglets – and was capable of flying 2,710nm non-stop. In addition, the Hawker 850XP offered upgraded avionics and a new cabin interior, which is usually configured to seat eight passengers.

Hawker 800XP Jet Overview

By Gerrard Cowan - Editor, Aircraft Reviews

The Hawker 800-model had a strong production run over an approximately 30-year period from the mid-1980s, and originally derived from the British Aerospace BAe 125 model. The Hawker 800XP was developed in the mid-1990s and was built over a 10-year period, with production ending in 2005.

During that time, 426 Hawker 800XP platforms were delivered, with a further 51 Hawker 800XPi models built, according to JETNET data.

The Hawker 800XP has proven popular with corporations and charter providers alike, with US-based Liberty Jet, Global Aircraft and Magellan Jets all having utilized the model in their charter operations.

What features does the Hawker 800XP offer?

The Hawker 800XP typically holds eight passengers, though it can be configured to accommodate up to 12. Offering a range of 2,620nm, the model is powered by two Honeywell TFE731-5BR engines.

Newer, upgraded versions of the aircraft were delivered with the more advanced Pro Line 21 avionics system from Collins Aerospace – however, the Pro Line 21 suite is also available an upgrade option for older Hawker 800XP aircraft.

What came before and after the Hawker 800XP?

As mentioned, the Hawker 800XP is part of a line of upgrades to the original Hawker 800 model. Subsequent upgrades included the Hawker 850XP, while other developments include the Hawker 750 – a Mid-Size Jet with a spacious interior, and the Hawker 900XP, whose Honeywell TFE731-50BR engines powered it out to a greater range of 2,930nm.
