Introduced in 1954, the PA-23 Apache was the first of the modern small light twins and was, initially, fitted with a pair of 150 hp Lycoming O-320s although these were raised to 160 hp in later models. The later Apache G has an extra fih rear seat. Many Apaches have been upgraded as Geronimos with 180 hp engines, a sixth seat and speed modifications.
