What Impacts a Dassault Falcon 7X’s Price?

Buyers who are weighing up the purchase of a Dassault Falcon 7X need to remember that the condition and value of one aircraft within the fleet can differ significantly from an apparently similar jet on the market (even one of the same vintage).

Fair market value of a specific Dassault Falcon 7X should be negotiated between the buyer and seller with consideration of the aircraft’s specifications. The eventual price will account for a variety of different factors, including the aircraft’s model year; how it has been equipped and configured (compared to other aircraft within its fleet); any modifications and upgrades that were made; and its maintenance condition.

When assessing an aircraft’s maintenance condition, buyers are advised to account not only for visible wear and tear on the interior and exterior, but also the aircraft’s proximity to any expensive and/or lengthy scheduled overhauls or inspections, and whether (or not) the aircraft is enrolled on an hourly maintenance cost program (or remains under warranty).

Traditionally, when less than 10% of a fleet of aircraft is for sale, the market favors the seller, whereas when more than 10% of the fleet is for sale buyers have the upper hand in used jet price negotiations.

When assessing whether a Dassault Falcon 7X is affordable for the budget, buyers need to remember the costs don’t stop at the acquisition.
