Cessna Citation II Jets for Sale

The Cessna Citation II light jet, typically seating seven passengers, developed on the Citation I whose market success led Cessna to consider a larger jet utilizing the same design traits. More powerful JT15D-4 engines and increased fuel capacity were incorporated, resulting in improved speed and range (1,564 nm).

Cessna Citation II Jet Snapshot

By Matt Harris - Editor, AvBuyer magazine

The Citation II is a Light Jet produced by Cessna that can seat up to 10 passengers. It was manufactured between 1978 and 1994. An impressive 607 units were made, per JETNET data, and Aircraft Bluebook’s Spring 2022 guide shows average prices of the Citation II range between $0.70m 1987 model and $0.90m 1994 model.

What makes the Citation II stand out?

Cessna perceived the need for a larger version of the popular Citation I, famed for its easy-handling and practical characteristics. It produced the Citation II with a longer fuselage, and more passenger capacity. Meanwhile, Pratt & Whitney’s JT15D-4 engines helped carry the range to 1,520nm. More Citation II jets have been produced than for any other Citation model.
