FAQs: Cessna Citation Latitude Jets for Sale

Here are the most Frequently Asked Questions for Cessna Citation Latitude Jets for sale
  • How much does a Cessna Citation Latitude cost?

A Citation Latitude costs between $11m (2015 model) and $19.30m (2020 model) according to Aircraft Bluebook Spring 2022. The price of a specific Citation Latitude could vary significantly – even for jets built in the same year, and is driven by several factors, including maintenance condition, airframe and engine hours, and more.

  • What competes with the Cessna Citation Latitude?

Potential customers may also look to other Cessna Citation brands, such as the Citation Sovereign (a 3,200nm jet that can hold up to 12 passengers). Beyond Cessna’s own offerings, the older Hawker 800XP – which also sits under the Textron umbrella – could provide a less expensive option for buyers, offering seating for nine passengers, though its range – at about 1,500nm – is considerably less than the Citation Latitude’s.

  • What makes the Cessna Citation Latitude stand out?

The Cessna Citation Latitude is a versatile aircraft, suitable for both leisure and business use. Its take-off field length of 3,580 feet could be a boon for many operators, while the cabin places prioritizes brightness and space for passengers, with a flat floor and six feet of cabin height.

  • What is the difference between a Cessna Citation Latitude and a Cessna Citation Longitude?

The Cessna Citation Longitude Super Mid-size Jet is currently Textron’s largest aircraft, offering more range than the Citation Latitude (up to 3,500nm) and more capacity (accommodating up to 12 passengers). With Garmin G5000 avionics, Honeywell HTF7700L engines, and a cabin altitude of 5,950ft, the Longitude is a good fit for the transatlantic business jet market, whereas the Latitude is a leading choice for trans-continental travel.

Cessna Citation Latitude Jet Overview

By Gerrard Cowan - Editor, Aircraft Reviews

The success of the Latitude is testimony to its versatility and long-range, which has seen it rack up orders from a range of customers – from business and corporate users, to the Japan Air Self-Defense Force.

What features does the Cessna Citation Latitude offer?

The Citation Latitude has a four-passenger range of 2,700nm at high-speed cruise, according to Textron, and a take-off field length of 3,580ft – a quality that provides greater range out of short fields, the company notes.

The aircraft features Garmin G5000 avionics, has a maximum cruise speed of 446ktas, and is powered by Pratt & Whitney PW306D1 engines. It can accommodate a maximum of nine passengers, though the typical configuration is configured to seat seven in comfort.

What came before and after the Cessna Citation Latitude?

The Citation Latitude is the latest in a long line of successful Mid-size business jets manufactured by Textron under the Cessna brand. Other successes include the long-established Excel line, now represented by the Citation XLS+.

The Citation XLS+ can also accommodate up to 12 passengers (in high-density configuration), but has a lower maximum range of 2,100nm, and is powered by two PW545C engines.

Meanwhile, Cessna’s newest offering, the Citation Longitude Super Mid-size business jet has recently arrived to the market, offering an option for operators looking for yet more range capability.
