The original Citation Sovereign was a medium-range aircraft, offering approximately 2,900nm maximum range, and is a strong candidate for transcontinental flyers. Depending on configuration, it has a capacity for up to 12 passengers, though nine is more common.
Its successor, the Citation Sovereign+, incorporates range-enhancing winglets, which helps increase its reach to 3,200nm. As of this writing, 100 Citation Sovereign+ jets had been produced by Cessna, per JETNET data (April 2022). The Citation Sovereign+ has been in production since 2013.

Textron Aviation emphasises the Citation Sovereign+ jet’s short take-off capability and enhanced technology. The aircraft utilizes Pratt & Whitney PW306D engines, and is equipped with Garmin G5000 avionics.
