The Challenger 605 – launched in 2006 – continued the series with a number of improvements aimed at boosting passenger comfort and cockpit sophistication. Like its predecessor, it is typically configured for 10 passengers, but can hold up to 12, and its range is about 4,000nm.

Ultimately offering an avionics and structural upgrade on the CL604 design, the large cabin Bombardier Challenger 605 retains the GE CF34-3B powerplants and 4,000nm range, but includes larger cabin windows, while the updated cockpit features ProLine 21 avionics and electronic flight bag capability.

Almost 300 units were produced for the Challenger 605 before it was succeeded by the Bombardier Challenger 650, and the aircraft continues to attract plenty of attention in the pre-owned market.
